WFMW: Minimizing the Fast Food Feeding Frenzy

I try and feed my kids healthy more often than not, but I am not so puritanical that I am above hitting Mickey Ds for a treat every week now and then.    However, with 3 kids, ages 5 and under, it can be difficult to figure out what everyone wants, order the food, keep the kids from climbing on the Happy Meal toy display, pay for the food, acquire the necessary condiments, keep the kids from running over other patrons or playing in the fountain drinks, etc. etc.

Usually, by the time I find a table, divy the nuggets, and get everyone squared away, I’m almost too exhausted to unwrap my 29g of all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun.

So.. my Works for Me Wednesday tip is … hit the drive thru!

We go to our local Mickey Ds specifically because it has a play area, but to minimize the mayhem, I get the food in the drive thru first, then park, then bring everyone in.

This may not be life changing, but hey – it Works For Me!

This post inspired by the “Works for Me Wednesday” series at We Are THAT Family.

    LOL

Even with only 1 kiddo in tow I find drive-thu works much better! I cannot stand the chaos at the register during ordering and wrangling of food. Mayhem!

That is the BEST thing I’ve heard (read) all day! I have 3 under 5 as well and I totally know what you mean! Thank you!
