We snuck in one last “Christmas” tradition tonight by driving out to see the Bull Run “Festival of Lights”.
(my pictures got a little blurrier when we were moving).
We had everyone decked out in their jammies, so that they would easily transfer straight to bed after the night out. Despite Sam’ claims of being tired…
Only one in three was actually asleep by the end of the evening.
Still a fun night out and a good tradition we’ll have fun continuing.

This is on my list for next year.
We did this a few weeks ago. We learned that if you leave the house to late, are in a hurry and can’t wait in the long line of cars that you can cut off on the road directly to the carnival which cuts into the lights at the end. You end us seeing some of the lights before reaching the carnival. We rode a few rides in the bitter, bitter cold; roasted some $1.00 marshmallows over the large fire-pit; and headed home contented. A tradition for sure.
