TGU’s/Diane, Thursday 120209

Skills:  Turkish Get Ups- Heavy, with spotter/partner
3 x 5/side, get focused or get blurry

WOD: Fortitude: “Diane” 21-15-9
Deadlifts 225/185
Hand Stand Presses, CrossFit Games Standards

Dessert: 30 Turkish Situps, 70/55

My Result

TGUs:  very tough!  worked on blue and it was killa

WOD:  9:00, DL @143#, HSPUS w/2 abmats

Dessert: did 10 sit-ups with blue, and finished 20 with pink.

My form was terrible — i sacrificed the standard for speed (I feel like i take so long trying to get set-up and execute properly) — I just wanted to “bang’m out” for once.  Note to self:  BAD STRATEGY — was major sore the next day.

I’m feeling really good about my progress on the hand stands, I think I’ll try and go down to 1 mat next time.
