2011 CrossFit Open 11.1, Wednesday 120201


Skills:  Snatch Skills & Prep

WOD:  AMRAP in 10 minutes of:
30 Double-unders
15 Power snatches (75lbs /55lbs)

Dessert: Knees-2-Elbows, three sets for combined max reps

Movements: , ,

My Result

WOD:   2 rounds even, as Rx’d

Dessert:  16 knees-to-tricep  <– apparently I wasn’t quite there on the elbows

I felt really good on my snatch work today — I think doing all those squats yesterday for Farmer Cindy really helped me get more comfortable being low and stable in my squat. Also felt like I made some good progress getting the hip drive going to drive the bar up.

Double unders were my undoing.  That and the power snatch.   In my second round, I strung together 10-12 DUs in a row and that felt great, but as I started round 3, I couldn’t complete a single one.  Too tired to make it work, I guess.
