Bottom Line: An okay playground set in a very nice park. Not the newest or the best, but a popular park due to prime location in the heart of the city of Falls Church. 3/5 stars.
The Review:
Cherry Hill Park is a popular park and playground in the heart of Falls Church. It sits on the grounds of the historic Cherry Hill Farm and is adjacent to Falls Church City Hall and Community Center.
The grounds themselves are lovely — lots of green space, tree cover, picnic pavilion, volleyball, tennis and basketball courts, even a horshoe pit.
The playground is nice, but nothing fancy.
It has one larger play structure nestled under the trees — it gets pretty good shade.
There is also a smaller play structure, designed for younger kids. It sits out in full sun.
Other features include two sets of bucket swings, two regular swings, a play house, and a teeter totter of sorts.
As I said, there’s nothing fancy about this park, but there is usually lots of kids to play with and lots of free space for the kids to run and play. The community center is a short walk across the park and has bathrooms (see website for hours).
We would often come here to burn off steam after an activity in the community center, or perhaps picking up lunch at a FC eatery.

Where do you park when you visit? I’m interested in the children’s story hour at the very nearby Mary Riley Styles library as well as this playground… but I’ve heard that parking is a problem. Thanks!
Either along Park Ave (close to the library) or in the community center parking lot.
HTH!
Don’t count on parking nearby on Saturday mornings, though, because of the Falls Church Farmer’s Market in the community center parking lot.
Dear Kendra They redone the playground please review the new Playground!
