It’s Friday, school is out and the kids are officially on SPRING BREAK!
We will be in town so I’ve been trying to come up with a plan to keep us busy and having fun. Here’s some of what we have planned — maybe it will provide some inspiration or fun for your crew.
Easter Egg Hunt
We love the Columbia Baptist Easter Eggstravaganza. It’s Saturday March 23 (tomorrow!) from 11a-3pm. There seem to be others going on tomorrow as well.
It may be cool some of the week so we will get our bounce on at Rebounderz in Sterling — it’s an trampoline park. My kids have been begging to do laser tag, so we will likely hit UltraZone one day as well.
There are a ton more ideas on Our Kids — check out their list of Indoor Play Areas. Last year we visited the Greater Reston Arts Center and the kids had great fun unleashing their inner artists via their Explore More program.
If and when the weather does improve there’s a few outdoor activities I’d like to do.
Oxon Hill Farm — we went last spring break and loved it (read my review). It’s a wonderful place for the kids to run around and enjoy the outdoors without having to micromanage them.
Ropes Course — my kids love the idea of a ropes course but have never been because I didn’t know of any that allowed kids their age. Sandy Springs Adventure Park allows kids ages 5 and up so I can’t wait to surprise them with this outing.
In addition to all the kid fun, I plan on having a little fun myself. I hope to catch a movie (the Angelika theater in Mosaic aka Merrifield is wonderful) and maybe even make a visit to Spa World to recover from all the kid fun.
What do you have on tap for Spring Break?
