As the holidays approach, I’m sharing a few gift ideas. These are either products we own and love, or products we would love to acquire.
Non-Paper Coffee Cups
A Great Gift For: Coffee and tea lovers looking for a stylish, environmentally responsible travel mug
Price: ~$8-$20 at World Market
A while ago, I went on the hunt for the perfect coffee cup, according to me. I wanted a mug that could travel with me (so it needed a lid), but could also be re-heated in the microwave. There are a bunch of options out there, but most are plastic and/or smaller capacity than what I liked. Then, one day, I stumbled across these cute mugs at World Market. They have a variety of styles and come in two sizes. The smaller size is 13oz, cost $7.99 and is about the equivalent of a “tall” drink at St@rbuck$. I bought the larger size, 15oz, which costs $9.99 and is similar to a “Grande”.
They are not double-walled as some brands are, which means the outside can get hot (hence the sleeve) and they can cool off faster than insulated mugs. But that’s not a problem — I just warm it back up in the microwave.
I use mine every day and love that I can put them in the microwave and dishwasher. You can purchase them online or in store.
