My Favorite Lunch Box and a GIVEAWAY!

GIVEAWAY IS NOW OVER — Congrats to #62 – Lindsey!

It’s August 1st, do you know where your child’s lunchbox is?

School doesn’t start for another month in my area, but I know many kids will be heading back to school soon, which means moms will be packing school lunches.   Last summer, I was searching for the perfect bento style lunchbox, and a year later I am still satisfied with my choice, Easy Lunchboxes.

Here’s why I Love ELB:

Practical — The size of the containers is roomy enough to easily hold a lunch, but not so big that it overwhelms my dishwasher.   The compartments keep things divided, but are large enough to offer flexibility in what they hold.

They are also easy enough for little hands to open — my kindergartner and preschooler can open them by themselves.

Eco-Safe — the containers and cooler bags are free icky chemicals — no BPA, PVA, phthalates, or vinyl.   They make it easy to pack waste free lunches.

Economical — the price has always been great, but now you can buy ELB on and take advantage of their free shipping on orders over $25!

Mom-Owned — I really like that ELB is a small business created and run by a mom entrepreneuer.  Kelly Lester is super nice and has clearly gone all out to make a well designed product.   I’d much rather give her my business than buy some cheap knock-off at W@lm@rt.

Also — the Easy Lunchbox website is a treasure trove of lunch packing information.   Check out the Neat Ideas section — she has links to tons of blogs with recipe ideas,  a gorgeous photo gallery of lunches packed in ELBs, lots of great lunch packing tips and more.

Is there anything I don’t love?

Honestly, yes.  I’ve found the cooler bags are too large for my kids backpack, so I put the container sets in a smaller sized lunch bag I found at Tar-jay.  But, the larger sized cooler bag is perfect for outings with the kids.   It can hold three containers and a thin brick-sized cold pack.   When we went to the beach last summer, it worked great for taking our snacks.

I was able to double up two sandwiches in two containers and fit enough for all 5 of us to eat.

So, I am pleased to say it was a great purchase last year and we will continue to use Easy Lunchboxes into the coming school year.  I hope that you love Easy Lunchboxes as well, and so, I am excited to host a giveaway!

I was originally attracted to the ELB website because of her gorgeous photo gallery and how she shares pictures of so many beautifully packed lunches! I also like the idea of multiple sections because it reminds me to include a side of fruit and veggies, or to do a sandwich and salad, not just one of the three, but a full balanced meal. Thanks for the great review of this awesome product, and for offering this giveaway!
