Monkey Bread

It is our tradition to have this delicious sweetbread Christmas morning.  I can think of no sweeter way to start Christmas day!


  • ½ cup Sugar + more
  • 1 Tsp Cinnamon
  • 3 Cans Reg size refrigerator biscuits
  • 1 Tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 stick butter


  1. Combine 1/2 cup Sugar and 1Tsp Cinnamon and stir.
  2. Cut biscuits in quarters, scissors will work.
  3. Roll in mixture, or shake in baggie.
  4. Thickly butter a bunt pan, and layer pieces biscuit pieces in it.
  5. Pour remaining sugar mixture in to 8 oz (1 c.) measuring cup. Add second Tsp Cinnamon to it and enough sugar to fill the cup.
  6. Melt butter, stir mixture in to butter.
  7. Spoon over the top of biscuits.
  8. Bake 40 min at 350.

*Note:  if making ahead,  you can do up to step 7 the night before and then bake in the morning.
