Monkey Bread
It is our tradition to have this delicious sweetbread Christmas morning. I can think of no sweeter way to start Christmas day!
Ingredients:
- ½ cup Sugar + more
- 1 Tsp Cinnamon
- 3 Cans Reg size refrigerator biscuits
- 1 Tsp Cinnamon
- 1 stick butter
Steps:
- Combine 1/2 cup Sugar and 1Tsp Cinnamon and stir.
- Cut biscuits in quarters, scissors will work.
- Roll in mixture, or shake in baggie.
- Thickly butter a bunt pan, and layer pieces biscuit pieces in it.
- Pour remaining sugar mixture in to 8 oz (1 c.) measuring cup. Add second Tsp Cinnamon to it and enough sugar to fill the cup.
- Melt butter, stir mixture in to butter.
- Spoon over the top of biscuits.
- Bake 40 min at 350.
*Note: if making ahead, you can do up to step 7 the night before and then bake in the morning.
