Finally, she Looth a Tooth

Sunday November 28, 2010

We’ve been waiting and waiting and waiting. Wendy was sure she was the only kid in first grade who hadn’t lost a tooth. We got hopeful a month or so ago when she used her teeth to grab a strap and somehow loosened her front tooth. It bled and it wiggled, so we figured a dislodging was eminent. But nothing happened.

Finally, about 15 minutes before we were to hit the road for our Thanksgiving travels, she proclaimed, “My tooth came out!”

Lucky for her, the Tooth Fairy doesn’t mind traveling.   The Tooth Fairy was VERY generous and left her a $5.  But, as the note said, “First teeth go for more”.  I suspect future visits will only yield a dollar.   One day past her 7th birthday and she loses a tooth.  What else with this year yield?

Kieran still hasn’t lost one yet either. She has one already coming in on the bottom and we can’t get the other one out.

How exciting! Belle lost her first tooth last year. She was the only kid in her class that hadn’t lost one!
