Our little Ash-man doubled his time on planet earth this weekend.

We didn’t have a big party, just celebrated with the friends we were with – since we happened to have planned a weekend away that overlapped with the birthday boy’s big day. I made a yummy birthday dinner of brisket barbecue, coupled with yummy sides and of course… dessert.
In lieu of a traditional birthday cake, I opted to make banana pudding.
When Adam saw the candles, he knew just what to do. He ran to the head of the table and waited for us to sing so he could attempt to blow out the candles.
With a little help from the fam, we got the job done. Then it was eatin’ time.
In addition to banana pudding, I decided cupcakes were in order.
These also went over well.
That was pretty much it for the birthday celebration. We didn’t even have a present for our poor last born baby. Fortunately, Grandad came through in that department before we left.

Thanks to Grandad, we have a shiny new “tract-to” to enjoy.
Although there are many times that Adam embraces the mantle of being a terrible two, he continues to delight and charm us.
Happy birthday little man!

We have a gift for him! when can we see him?
