The Reason for the Season

One of the things I wanted to do this advent season was memorize Luke 2:1-20 with the kids.  I figured if we started December 1st and worked on one verse a day, we’d knock it out well before Christmas.  Well, we started off on a good foot, but then Mike & I got less diligent about working on it with the kids and we didn’t come through with a strong finish.  Despite that, I’m proud of the kids for working on it with us this Christmas season and want to share what we accomplished.   I’m really bad about trying to memorize Scripture, but I have to say, meditating on these verses during December as helped me stay focused on the reason we celebrate Christmas.
