Last week, Wendy was in “big kid” camp all week, which meant it was just me and the boys each day. On Wednesday, I decided to take them back out to the Kid Drop Zone.
We went once before in June (I chronicled our experience here) and had a great time. I wasn’t sure how crowded it would be on a potentially rainy summer day, but it turned out to be great. Once again, there were plenty of staff on hand and it was not crowded at all when we arrived around 10am. It got a little more busy by the time we were leaving, but never felt packed or close to “at capacity”.
Sam had a great time – they have so many things there he loves – the zip line, the platform swing, even the dress-ups. One of the worker’s was doing face painting, so he waited very patiently for his turn and was quite proud of his design. One of the guys working there also engaged all the wild boys – they had great fun chasing the “monster” and engaging in a pillow fight with him.
Adam also had a great time. He loves crawling in the “tunnel” – a wall of blank cabinetry. The bouncy toys are also a big hit for him, even tho most are too big – he has fun bouncing off them. As for me, I was thrilled to carve out some semi-productive time. I sat on a couch on the common area and was able to write 9 thank you cards! The staff provided enough of oversight that I could actually get something done and crossed off my to do list.
After 2 hours of play, we headed out, stopping at the near-by Chick-Fil-A to cap a fun outing.
They replaced the sheet covered mattressses with play mats, I was impressed that bitty Adam could climb up it.
One of the workers did face painting and Sam was thrilled to get his face done up as Batman. Later in the day, when he realized he was wearing a baseball themed shirt, he told me he was “Baseball Bat Man”
Funny kid

Looks like fun!
What a cool place. I’ve never heard of it and will have to get the info from you.
