Last Friday was a beautiful day, and we had no plans, but I couldn’t decide where I wanted to take the kids. I finally settled on a new destination for all of us – the Goddard Space Flight Center. Considering the weather, I probably should have picked an outdoor destination, but I wasn’t up for corralling all 3 kids.
Anyway, since the kids just finished a segment on outer space in preschool, this was a nice tie-in. I must say that 90% of the exhibits were WAY over their heads and were not engaging beyond the initial glance, BUT, they did have a module-dohicky thing (clearly I didn’t learn much) that was hands on. AND they had space suits sized right for little people. So W & S had a blast dressing up and pretending to fly to the moon or Jupiter or what not.
