My kids are pretty good eaters. Sometimes they are picky and only want typical kid fare (chicken nuggets, pasta, etc.) but we generally feed them what we like and sometimes they eat it and sometimes they don’t. shrug.
I try to incorporate fish/seafood once a week into our diet, which sometimes goes over well with one child and not with another. Wendy is currently in favor of shrimp, whereas Sam thinks he’s being tortured.
Anywho, one meal that we’ve added to somewhat regular rotation, is this yummy tilapia dish from the Sweet Pea Chef (a friend of a friend).
Tonight, Sam “helped” me make it and when Wendy & daddy arrived home from AWANA, Wendy asked what we were having for dinner. Sam informed her it was “sloppia.” When I clarified it was tilapia, which was fish. She told me she didn’t like fish. BUT, she did wolf down her meal and then asked for “more chicken, please!” Since my kids are highly suggestible to marketing, I’ve decided to rename this meal “Sloppy Chicken.”

“Sloppia”. Very cute Sam. I’m gonna have to try that meal. Sloppy Chicken does sound yummy.
As of late, we’re on a run where Caed will eat any and everything while Dani turns up her nose at everything. Go figure.
LOL I I need to make that “Sloppia” again.
Sounds like a yummy recipe, although I will have try it when hubby goes out of town since he can’t stand fish. I wonder if he would fall for the “Sloppy Chicken” maybe I should try that one.(Shhh) Amanda is entering that picky stage right now too, I am hoping it passes soon! We do have a rule you have to at least try it to see if you like it.
Ha ha! Sloppy chicken. Love it.
