Following yet another Facebook trend, I asked my (older two) kids the following questions are recorded their answers verbatim. I should mention that I interviewed them separately so they wouldn’t be influenced by each other’s answers. I’d love to read your kid interviews as well!

1. What is something mom always says to you?
S: Don’t touch that.
W: Don’t touch your computer.
2. What makes mom happy?
S: Giving hugs.
W: When we come right away.
3. What makes mom sad?
S: I don’t know.
W: When … remember that time when the baby went up to Jesus? {referring to my miscarriage two years ago}
4. How does your mom make you laugh?
S: I can’t think of something.
W: When you tickle me.
5. What was your mom like as a child?
S: I don’t know
W: Disobeying.
6. How old is your mom?
S: 76 {His initial answer was 5 and when I asked him if I was the same age as Wes, he changed it to 76. Guess I shoulda kept my trap shut}
W: 33
7. How tall is your mom?
S: Littler than daddy
W: A little shorter than daddy
8. What is her favorite thing to do?
S: Talk
W: Play with me.
9. What does your mom do when you’re not around?
S: Look for me.
W: Work on the computer.
10. If your mom becomes famous, what will it be for?
S: I don’t know.
W: ?
11. What is your mom really good at?
S: Changing diapers.
W: Typing
12. What is your mom not very good at?
S: Doing underdogs. {pushing and running under him on the swing – something I don’t do}
W: Doing the bubble on the Wii Fit video game.
13. What does your mom do for a job?
S: I don’t know

14.What is your mom’s favorite food?
S: Salad
W: Salad {We just finished dinner, which included salad}
15.What makes you proud of your mom?
S: When you ask me to put on my pajamas on and I do it quickly. {Sam was confused and reversed the meaning}
W: That you can type on the computer very well.

S: Larry the cucumber

17. What do you and your mom do together?
S: Play at the playground
W: One day we painted our nails… can we do that again?
18. How are you and your mom the same?
S: Because I love you and you love me.
W: We both have short sleeve shirts on.
19. How are you and your mom different?
S: Because I’m a boy and you a gurl.
W: I have brown hair and you have light blonde hair.
20. How do you know your mom loves you?
S: Because you give me grace {our term for when the parent opts to forego the deserved punishment}

S: That Daddy is bigger than you.
W: That he makes money for our family.
22. Where is your mom’s favorite place to go?
S: To lots of parks that have playgrounds.

I love their responses. I asked my kids the first question tonight and I was so embarrassed by Lydia’s answer that I don’t know if I will be posting their responses.
