Valentine’s Day, we headed south to log some quality time with the grands. We got there in time for dinner and enjoyed a delicious spread, followed by the flourless chocolate cake I made for Mike (and the rest of us) to enjoy.

For Valentine’s Day, I made Mike a flourless chocolate cake. It was good but oh so rich.
We spent the weekend hanging out and doing country things. Enjoy these pics:

We went down and spent the weekend at Grandma & Grandpa R’s.

It was great to visit with them.

Grandpa got this old moped running – for the first time in 20 years.

Wendy & Sam had fun playing outside.

This is looking out the back of Grandpa’s shed.

Working on the moped together.

A true country boy.

Daddy took a spin on the moped too. Made him miss his motorcycle and long for a dirt bike even more.

Hanging out in the backyard. Behind the fence is a cow pasture and beyond that the train tracks.

We went to this park/playground at Smith Mountain Lake.

Everyone loves a twisty tunnel slide

They all loved the swings.

Back at grandma’s house, Mike blew up this balloon like toy. It was supposed to float like a motorized blimp, but alas, required helium.

Instead the kids had fun pouncing on it and bouncing off it.

Adam especially had fun with it…

Until he bounced off and into a corner where he nicked his eye.

Fortunately, he recovered quick, thanks to a meal and TLC from Grandpa.

Wendy had fun playing some tunes.

The boys

On the road again – time to head home.
