Sometimes Sam wakes up from his nap little groggy. I took these pictures after nap one day. He just stared at me while I kept snapping. I love how his hair is all teased up, because it is his self-soothing routine to run his fingers through his hair when he’s tired. We no longer attempt to keep it brushed down – now we just go with it and gel it up. While he looks a tad grumpy, he was quite compliant for my impromptu photo session. It did take him a few minutes to warm- up, but I can’t blame him as I am the same way.

LOL. That last pic looks a bit Zoolander-esque. Even as a grumpy-pants, he’s awfully cute!
I love this series. What a cutie. Carter is a total beast every afternoon when he wakes up – I might need to grab the camera so I don’t forget down the road.
How can he already be so handsome at such a young age?? He has those brooding looks down pat!
