Merry Christmas!

We had a wonderful celebration.  We went to Grammy & Grandad’s for Christmas Eve day.  There, we hung out with family (my aunts & uncle were in town), along with cousin Owen.  Activities included reading lots of books, decorating sugar cookies, and riding bikes.  In the evening, we attended the children’s service at our church, then came home and watched “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”.

Christmas day got off to a leisurely start.  Sam was the first to wake, but wasn’t in a hurry to go downstaris.  Mike put the Monkey Bread in the oven, and then came back to bed where we three snuggled for another 45 minutes.

Finally, around 8 o’clock, Wendy & Adam got up and we all went down stairs.  We enjoyed our monkey bread and fruit salad.  The kids had fun playing with the play doh fun factory they received yesterday from a neighbor, which gave me time to clean up the kitchen before diving into gifts.

We started with stockings, then  put Adam down for a nap and moved onto gifts.

Around lunchtime, Barrett, Melissa & Owen arrived.  More gift opening, eating, and hanging out ensued.  Then Grammy, Grandad, Bonnie, Lana, & Dale arrived and we repeated the earlier scenario.

Finally, we had our big supper around 5pm and stuffed ourselves some more.  After dessert and a few meltdowns, it was time to call it a night.

It was a great day and the kids are already asking, “When will it be Christmas again?”

Our pictures are online.  You can also check out Uncle Barrett’s and Grandad got his uploaded too!

Looks like a wonderful day. I love how W. keeps wearing her Queen Esther crown. I saw her with it last week at church.

    Dear Kendra,
It was so thoughtful of you all to put your Christmas pics out for us to view and enjoy Christmas all over again, but with your family. I’m afraid that we’re not into the camera technology to be able to reciprocate.
Everyone appears very brave, and I hope it was a fun time together. The love and concern of family are evident in the photos. Bless those LITTLE guys, who provided fun outlets for everyone.

Dana reads your blog and has kept me up to date on Pat’s health issues as you have printed them.

We love you all although we see you rarely.
