Our poor neglected red-headed stepchild. Now that he’s 4 deep on the totem pole, he doesn’t get nearly the love or exercise he deserves. Logan has had a growth in his mouth for a while. It was a big ole bump around one of his teeth. We weren’t sure what it was, but it didn’t seem to cause him any pain and he was eating okay, so for a while, we just ignored it. But it was growing and we finally decided to get it taken care of. So, Logan got to go to the vet yesterday and have it surgically removed. Lucky dog that he was, removing the mass also meant pulling the two closest teeth, BUT, he did get his nails clipped and the rest of his teeth cleaned while he was under. All for the low low price of just under $1k. zoiks.
He is back home today, resting comfortably. He doesn’t seem to bad for the experience, and we’ve been trying to take it easy on him. It’ll take a week or two for the pathology results to come back on his mass, and then we’ll know what we are dealing with. Here’s a few pics of Logan taking it easy on the couch:

Awww. Poor puppy.
